Relevant: I have handgun, shotgun, and sniper rifle targeting and hunting experience. Longest consistency is 12” target ≈550m away with a cheap scope on a short barrel .308 Remington 700 and plastic table. As a camera operator, I’ve professionally and accurately lined up crosshairs onto targets for a living using a variety of on-body and remote controlled devices for over 20yrs. I’ve built and piloted my own quadcopters along with working with top US film industry drone teams as their camera operator to heavy-lift drones. I still recreationally pilot. I was nominated for an Emmy while teaching and piloting a 140lb RC car precisely between fancy people at the 2024 Grammy’s. I understand optics, sensors, cameras, thermal, and infrared as it applies to film and digital. I am scuba certified and have also worked with underwater tech as it relates to the film industry. I’ve built consumer rockets, and dabbled in pyrotechnics.
