Three years side by side

On February 27, 2022, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy invited foreigners to join the fight against russian armed aggression. From this moment, the history of the International Legions of Defense of Ukraine begins. For three years now, the volunteers, legionnaires of the free world have been fighting alongside their Ukrainian counterparts against the russian occupiers in unique multinational units. They have defended Kyiv, liberated Kharkiv region, fought for Bakhmut and Pokrovsk, and participated in brilliant operations in almost all the hottest spots of this war. The International Legions of Defense of Ukraine have gone through a heroic journey as part of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and enjoy well-deserved military glory.
