I served 3 years in the U.S. Army as a 13B Cannon Crewmember, reaching the rank of Specialist (E-4). I was assigned to 2nd Battalion, 2nd Field Artillery Regiment (2-2 FA) at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. During my service, I fired over 20,000 rounds of 105mm ammunition from the M119 towed howitzer. I have hands-on experience in every position on the gun crew, including loading, ammunition handling and preparation, laying and aiming the howitzer, and emplacing and displacing the gun. I am comfortable working in any crew role and can quickly adapt to new artillery systems and procedures.
