I served as a volunteer in the Lebanese Army with the First Intervention Regiment, based at the Beirut Military Air Base at Beirut International Airport. I successfully completed four months of intensive military training and went on to serve for approximately four and a half years, close to five years in total. During my service, I gained extensive operational experience and participated in 27 major urban combat operations. The First Intervention Regiment specialized in urban warfare and street fighting within the city of Beirut and other densely populated urban areas throughout Lebanon. Our unit was specifically trained to operate in environments with high-rise buildings, narrow streets, and complex urban terrain.
